Ultrasound is a contemporary imaging method , which in recent years has been increasingly used in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
The ultrasounds depict the imaging of the soft tissues such as tendons, ligaments, muscles, and the joints of the limbs. Tendonitis, ruptures of tendons or ligaments, muscle fractures, intra-articular fluid, bone erosions, inflammation of bursas, but also ganglia, lipomas, cysts, hematomas and calcifications are also depicted.
In addition to their use in diagnosis, the ultrasounds are a very useful tool in monitoring the progression and treatment of any condition.
